Awsome app just one thing how to use it on actual x box 360 once you have gotten it on laptop???? Just need to find out how to get ip adress from xbox

Really nifty tool I have a shiny new laptop with Windows 7/Media Center. I have been a big fan of MCE for a while but I used to find it irritating to need a MS infared remote control especially since it needs a USB box plugged in. I researched infared devices which led to bluetooth which led to this WiFi client for Android phones. I love it! When your phone is on the same WiFi netowrk as the MCE PC you can control Media Center with the phone in your hand. You use gestures and tap in the middle of the screen (which can be customized with your favorite picture). Nits: I wish it had volume control. Irritation: it seems to disconnect often but reconnects readily. When disconnect bug is fxed it gets 4, when volume and other controls added, or perhaps a graphic representation of the MCE remote, it goes to 5! Details: it requires a small free plugin the author provides in each MCE PC to allow network remote control. Super value for the small sale price of the app.

For media center this app is kind of cool The app does work. 1st make sure you know your ip address of the media center. Doesn't work by name. 2nd. make sure you install the free program receiver offer by the developer. 3rd make sure your media center software is open when you try to access from the phone. I didn't understand why the developer didn't make the software receiver to open the MCE from the phone not to use the remote control and then then phone. why he made this software if you still use the original MCE remote control. Also the volume can be changed from the volume of the phone. Also the black space on the scree is actually your work space control to go up & down / left & right. I paid a $1 as a donation for the developer but as a program is not the best one. Sorry guys ! Ps: I am an expert using MCE ...I have MCE from 2005 - there are 4 in my house and plus I am IT level 3.

Opened ports in firewall, etc but wouldn't connect to my laptop no matter what I did - & I've worked in IT support for 8 years!

A lot of fiddling to get working initially but works after a lot of tampering. It needs more features though, IN PARTICULAR IT NEEDS A VOLUME CONTROL!

Works off and on. Worst $0.99 I ever spent. I guess my only consolation is that it was only $0.99. I guess this as good as this guy can code.

Triggered a fault error every time I tried to upload a photo or audio file and then turned off wifi and kept disconnecting. No refund after one use.

No keyboard, and not refundable after less than 10 minutes used. Uninstaled. Just have to eat the puschase price I guess
