Comments and Ratings for DejaOffice -Outlook, USB sync
by Colin the 2/28/2012

Brilliant app It fits my requirements beautifully. Support is outstanding - prompt and very helpful. I would recommend this app to anyone wanting a business-class app. It allows my personal phone contacts to be kept entirely separate from the business ones - perfect! HTC DesireHD user.

Sync issues This is the best Outlook sync product for Android but it is soo inferior to IPHONE...

Best App to sync Outlook to Android For me, this is the best app to sync Outlook to Android. I have an HTC Thunderbolt, and I use Outlook 2007. I was earlier using HTC Sync, but that did not sync Notes or Tasks, and more recently it stopped working altogether even for Calendar and Contacts. HTC had no answers or solutions. Then I tried VCOrganizer by Vecal, which is probably the main competitor of Companionlink, and it is similar in that it installs a Notes and Tasks app on your Android. But VCOrganizer was filled with problems, especially after it went to version 5 from version 4. Companionlink is the most expensive of apps for this, but for my situation it works flawlessly. I sync over WiFi. It syncs everything perfectly every time. The sync takes less than 1 minute. One caution: you have to use the Deja Office calendar that they provide rather than the native Android calendar. But I found that I liked certain features in the Deja Office better anyway. I think the Deja Office calendar might integrate less with other apps than the native Android calendar does (such as co-workers putting events into your calendar), but that doesn't affect me.

What the hell .... Why are my scheduled items duplicating at times. Why are my all day items alarming at 4am.

by Noel the 2/25/2012

Quite fine for me I have installed this software in order to move my data (agenda, contacts, notes and memo) from Palm Desktop (I had to buy Companion Link to sync between Palm Destop and DejaOffice). For contacts, notes and memo, I had no problem. As I have a lot of agenda entries, there is a display problem as some tasks are not displayed but hidden by other(s). What is more, some alarms do not ring at time ! I was also disapointed: as a Palm user, I used to delete past repeated tasks; here, do not do that! but check it done. Noel

Frustrating Not reliable on contacts and calendar. Reverts to old data on contacts and changes apointments and birthdays by 1 day ...? If you rely on acccurate info to manage your day this is a big problem.

Sync problems Wont properly sync with outlook.

by TAG the 2/19/2012

If you dont sync, good app Paid 4 companion link, because no other option. App just good enough, could use more work. Many manyDuplicates with sync. Takes hour to sync via wifi.

Unreliable Regularly fails to sync

by R the 2/17/2012

Unstable, doesn't sync (paid version) I'm using USB sync with a PC. The sync does not work most of the time and the software crashes very often. Support is unresponsive. A waste of Money.

by Joshua the 2/17/2012

WOW I PAID WAY TOO MUCH FOR IT TO SUCK THIS BAD This app, together with companionlink, sync well - but only about 10 percent of the time. Which makes it completely useless to me and a waste of my money. Tech support has been useless...

Jake Works well & provides option of calendar & contacts being kept separate from Google servers for enhanced privacy. Display fonts are limited, but overall very nice product.

Love DejaOffice have quit using CompanionLink DejaOffice is solid. However, CompanionLink does not care that data duplicates and disappears when syncing with Outlook ... So I use DejaOffice on Android only, and have dropped Outlook on PC. Back up DejaOffice data directory ("clusb") directory with FOLDERSYNC App (paid version) to sync files with local computer and cloud backup software. Check reviews, FOLDERSYNC is best backup and file sync app on the market for file syncing with cloud or local storage, multiple separate directories, timed sync, etc.

HTC I have the HTC Desire HD and through HTC sync I can sync up my Outlook calendar and contacts with no hassle at all. I downloaded this app to see if there would be any cool features but as soon as I tried to run this application it force closed! Uninstalling...

still needs work, better than nothing I miss the Palm and Intelisync, never had problems nor difficulty. Deja and Companionlink have a way to go, but I'm glad my data is on my phone.

by Thomas the 2/14/2012

Still too buggy Sometimes creates duplicates, sometimes won't even connect. For $50 I expect more.
