If its against the law for an app to directly affect GPS like previous post says, why all the others do it? Including HTC app that comes with the Evo?

takes you to settings, but GPS remains on. N1 with froyo.

Doesn't indicate that GPS is enabled if GPS was switched on directly, without using widget. MotoDroid

People, it is against the law for an app to directly turn off/on GPS. Till that changes this is the best u can get. Stop 1 starring a 4-5 star app

Does exactly what it says. Just to let people know, android 1.6 and newer doesn't allow apps to change gps status. Its for your security.

Great idea poorly executed, only the Wi-Fi widget worked. GPS one just brings u to settings. The rest.. nothing moto Droid.

The button takes me directly to my gps settings on my G1...would get 5 stars if it turned gps setting on/off directly and saved me another step.
