Pretty accurate most of time, full-featured app Works very well and is very accurate most of time. You really have to explore the interface to appreciate all the features the app has. If you go to More (settings), you find Driving Directions and you can opt to use Google Maps with the GPS position saved by Car Locator to get turn-by-turn walking directions back to your car with a satellite view or map view as you desire in "3D" You can save past positions with photographs and annotate them, e-mail or text them, with an interface to your address book. So if anything, the developer undersells what Car Locator does. Most of the time, you just want the Details view with a big arrow pointing you in the direction of your car and the distance indicator telling you how many feet or meters to go. But if you need the other features, they are there in a very polished interface. My only quibble would be to make stuff more accessible/obvious from the app main screen. The Home Screen widget that saves your location with one touch, then creates a notification from which you can launch Car Locator whenever you want to find your car is very cool.

I understand it needing contacts & internet permissions but why does it need my phone number and that of whomever I call? I can't find any explanation of permissions, and the updates are incessant.

Accurate Great The Bluetooth plugin is amazing too. Every time I disconnect from my car BT, it automatically saves my location. Pretty accurate too.

SPYWARE!!! Read contact data and full Internet access? No way! 1* because of this. It does not need to read contacts to find a car.

Works great on my new Verizon Razr! Just used it to find my G35 at Zilker Park in Austin. It was a long walk in the dark through trees - so this app was perfect. Worked great. Tip: Hold your phone upright when you set your location. If you are holding it at an angle or horizontal, the results will be off by 3-9ft. Also worked great when we parked in a sea of cars for Christmas shopping at the outlets.
