Still Don't Like New Update Update: after a few months, Gowalla still lost its appeal to me since its change. Its no fun anymore checking in to find items.

Used to be great I have to agree with the others, I'm just not liking the recent change. Maybe I'm missing something but without the badges and ease of check ins....

Tragic Gott rid of everything that made people want to use it (pins, items). I used to do this & 4sq but now the choice is easy. I hope Disney jumps ship!

This used to be my favorite app. I wanted to like the new version, but this whole "stories" thing just isn't as fun as earning badges & finding items.

Leave the change for Obama! New version sucks. LISTEN TO YOUR USER'S, go back to your old format. I am uninstalling for 4square. Really sucks, use to enjoy gowalla. Boo!!!!!!

Since the introduction of the new design Gowalla has practically become unusable. Never shows you the right current location, when Foursquare and Google Maps do.

Why did you ruin it? I really liked the old program, much more simple and straightforward. Quit trying to be a travel guide. Also app crashes if try to post a pic (2.3.5)

Dropping to 1 star With the loss of items in the game and reformulation of the app to be less of a game, I no longer get any enjoyment from this. On to Foursquare...

Uninstalling after update (all platforms) I do NOT like the new app. It is very difficult to check in at my regular places that aren't part of their guides. Have to search for them, which adds several steps, when they show up at all. I enjoyed the items/pins which have disappeared, without even a chance to save/back them up… On my iPad, the app now crashes immediately.

Sad.. Always used Gowalla because it was an Austin based company. Recent changes make the choice between Gowalla and Foursquare very easy.

Pointless. Sorry. Don't see the point of this app anymore now that the user base has moved on. Nobody left to update or add local spots.
