Sometimes when you swipe the screen the snake doesn't turn and its slow there needs to be a d pad or something and make it faster

It won't move when I try to move it on my phone. I try to move it with my finger but it just doesn't go.(Htc Evo)

Works on the motorola droid, but difficult to play because it's hard to move fast with the tiny up and down arrows.
