Comments and Ratings for Frodo C64
by Nick the 7/31/2011

Mega Absolutely superb C64 emulator. Easy to set up and play all the favourite games from a bygone era. Little bit of sound scratch and frame jerkiness here and there but a minor distraction, really. Top notch. 5*****. Mind you, I am playing on an Xperia Play, the world's finest gaming handheld...

by Chris the 7/31/2011

excellent but.. I would prefer the SX64 kernal! The colours of the SX64 are perfect for small screens...

by Scharmers the 7/7/2011

Great implementation of Frodo (a lot of the warts in this app are Frodo's fault, not the app's developer). Controls & d64 workable but not optimal.

The BEST C64 Emulator ...and it always has been. It ran great on my G1, so it should run on anything. The only way it could get any better is to make a more accurately laid out C64 keyboard. If the dev can nail that, this app would be untouchable!

Xperia play Cracking!! I was never expecting miracles but the xperia controls work like a charm for the most part, change joystick ports is important for those who remember the good ole days. Last ninja is a bind as you can't allocate space to another button, that I have found as yet. But Kickstart II, Buggy Boy, Giana sisters - ON AND ON play excellent. Just can't get salamander on which was my most fave game ever. 4.5 outta 5.

The best c64 emulator. Integrated with the android very well. EDIT: Where is the 6th star it's simply the best app I have.

by frumperino the 6/18/2011

Nice but HTC hero poorly supported.

by zac the 6/15/2011

This seems great! One wish is on my mytouch in landscape mode the keyboard takes up the entire screen. Can it be shrunk down a bit?

by Craig the 6/14/2011

Were can I find Roms to play?

by Macross the 6/13/2011

Essential. No phone is complete without Frodo. Screw the Jetson's flying cars, having a C64 in my pocket is the absolute proof that the future of my childhood dreams has arrived.

by J-Rock the 6/12/2011

Best. App. Ever. Great emulator for those of us cool enough to kick it old school.

by Campbell Moss the 6/10/2011

Works great on Samsung Galaxy SII (Gingerbread) Playing Gianna Sisters, brings back memories

by Andrew the 6/9/2011

Compared to c64 Mobile, Frodo WrOcKs!!! Thanks a billion!!!

by Super Dave, dmatthewm the 6/9/2011

I could even write a loop program in basic. Remember where you download your roms so you can find them, man, brings back memories, awesome application

by Antonio the 6/8/2011

Crap. No inbuilt database search. Soundbugs. No intuitivity. Cant find the goddamn roms when I download them, so whats the point?

by John A. the 5/22/2011

Haven't done anything with it yet beyond a "hello world" program, but it's cool just to have a c64 in my phone. (Think I had one on my old Palm too.)

by Farid the 5/19/2011

Good stuff. Brings back the eighties :)

by noxo the 5/8/2011

Brings back those good days from 80'ties :)

by Bensode the 4/24/2011

superb on xoom Runs flawlessly on the Xoom. Sure wish it was possible to mount or change disks for multidisk games like bards tale, wasteland and autoduel.

by Steven the 4/17/2011

Virtual controls for joystick wont hide, physical control mapping system limited, cant unbind, some hardware keys dont bind correctly on xperia play
