Beats is a music-based rhythm game where you tap to the beat of songs, similar to StepMania, DJ Max, Beatmania IIDX, Dance Dance Revolution (DDR), Tap Tap Revenge, etc.

Like most rhythm games, Beats has a VERY steep learning curve. New players may want to change the default difficulty from "Medium" to "Easy". Some downloaded songs are meant for StepMania keyboard playing though, so don't expect to full-combo "Challenge" steps.

Beats currently does NOT auto-generate stepfiles for the music files you already have on your phone. You must FIND and DOWNLOAD pre-made stepfiles from the internet for specific songs (via the in-game "DOWNLOAD SONGS").

Beats comes with a few sample songs that you can install after you close this, but there are PLENTY more that you can download from the internet!

StepMania players can copy over their current collections by following the manual instructions on the website. Beats currently only supports user-generated stepfiles that follow the StepMania 3.9 ".sm" file format but will support the ".dwi" format and more in the future.
