LokPixLite

LokPixLite is a useful photo security solution for Android devices.  Want to keep people from stumbling across personal photos on your phone?  This app can help you to keep your pictures to yourself.

This is the free, demo version of LokPixPro, a high-security picture encryption system.  It has the same unique interface as it's bigger brother, with a couple of differences:

- The encryption system is casual.  Don't use this to protect State secrets.
- You are limited to 25 encrypted pictures per SD card.  It will refuse to save any more than that.
- It only supports JPEG images.

Otherwise, they're mostly identical.

The Camera module include several interesting picture modes, a self-timer, many other unique features.  Photos are encrypted straight from memory, and never leave traces on the SD card.

The Gallery features a very unique "Virtual Album" system, allowing you to create as many separate groups of photos as you like (within the 25-picture limit).  Each group has it's own password, and they may be hidden from each other.  You can import photos from the regular Android Gallery, and export encrypted photos *to* the Gallery (for transferring or emailing).

LokPixLite uses the following permissions ONLY:

  Storage
    Modify/delete SD card contents

  Hardware controls
    Take pictures

  Phone calls
    read phone state and identity

The last one is a result of building for Android 1.6 compatibility - LokPixLite does *NOT* actually access the phone information in any way.
