Scan barcodes with your camera and instantly send them to your PC or Mac.

Wireless barcode scanning:
* Scan barcodes using the built-in camera of your Android device.
* Supports UPC, EAN, ISBN, UPC+5 barcodes and QR codes.
* Instantly transmit scanned barcodes to your desktop computer (PC or Mac)
* Barcodes are entered into any program, any textbox on your PC or Mac,
  as if you entered the digits using your keyboard.

Requirements:
* Android 1.6 or higher
* A high quality, auto-focus camera.
* Installation of the "Buddy for Barry" software on your PC or Mac.

* Internet connection on both your phone and desktop computer.
  Any internet connection will do (Wi-Fi, 3G, EDGE or GPRS).
  No local LAN connection needed.


OTHER FEATURES:

"Offline" scanning and sending in batch:
* All scanned barcodes are automatically remembered for later (re)sending.
* Select barcodes and send them to your desktop computer in batch.
* Alternatively:
  - Send selected barcodes by email
  - Send selected barcodes by text message (SMS)
  - Save selected barcodes to a TXT file or your SD card.

Automatic title and image look-ups (optional):
* When scanning barcodes for DVDs, Blu-Ray Discs, CDs, book, comics or games,
  CLZ Barry automatically looks up Title and Cover Image in the
  Collectorz.com online media databases.
* Tap an entry in the barcode list to view more media details on the
  Collectorz.com Connect mobile website.

  It will even automatically "press" the "Search Now" button for you, so that

  then send the entire batch to the Queue Mode of your Add Automatically screen.

Superb app Astonishly good. Use the technology on your phone to save buying an expensive wireless scanner. I use it to add books to my Book Collector software and love it.

Excellent on a Samsung Galaxy Note! If you love your books you have to love this app. Amazingly fast. Scan the bar code and find your books with all details and book cover right in your PC or lap top. Great with Mac as well.

Works great! I've used this app to enter movies, comic books, and video games into their respective databases and it works perfectly for all of them.

Amazing Best thing ever I had to enter maually before. Now this does it for me. And when adding buddy to it adds it to the pro version of the destop version. For those who say the scanner finds nothing. Keep trying. It wilk find it.

Excellent - far better than the iPad debacle I originally purchased the iPad version of this app and it was a complete and utter failure. It would never scan any barcodes. I was reluctant, due to the horrid experience I had with the apple version, but I got this one for my android phone and am I ever glad I did. Every thing works as expected, however a slightly better manual would help out. It took me a little while to figure out the relationship between the phone and the computer and where I needed to be when scanning. To help out anyone just getting started, make sure the Buddy for Barry is connected on both ends (check the icon legend to see what your status is, but it should be a white C with red center and arcs), then select the Add automatically option on the toolbar or in the Edit menu. Once there, select the Add by Barcode tab, then make sure the cursor is in the Barcode field. Basically, Barry will type into the field as you scan, or if you do a batch send of several codes at once.

Super-useful despite some serious problems + Data entry reduced from hours to minutes + Unbelievably quick scanning when the camera acquires focus, BUT this is depending on your phone's camera. Samsung Galaxy S2 FTW! - Buddy for Barry is junk. Gets confused at times, needs restarting. - Requires Comic Collector 5.0, NOT 4.7 as listed. Barcode entry wasn't available in my 4.7 Pro install. I had to upgrade. - Some titles may prove troublesome to scan (*ahem* IDW). Small/condensed barcodes give the camera's autofocus fits.
