SyncSMS lets you sync sms text messages between your Android 2.1+ phone and 3G or WiFi-only Android 2.1+ tablet. This app lets you receive sms text messages on your tablet which have been received by or sent from your phone. Also, this app lets you send sms text messages on your tablet which will be copied to your phone and sent out by your phone. You will need to sign up for a free Dropbox account, if you don't already have one, in order to temporarily store the sms text messages between syncs.

Notes:
- Do NOT have to be on same WiFi network, each device just needs a data connection of some sort
- Only need to purchase this app once, and install on both phone and tablet
- For some tablets you will have to force the device type setting to tablet
- SMS Text messages on tablet are sent via your phone (charges from your carrier may apply)

Great tool Works great so I can text from my Xoom but it has stopped auto syncing since my Xoom updated to ICS. Been using this for months and has been working great

Works 1/3 of the time Great idea, something that should have been included with android to begin with. The downside, and this is big: almost always out of sync. Sometimes messages are never sent to your phone. It kind of defeats the purpose if most of the time I have to type out text on my phone, which is the only reason I purchased this AP. I feel ripped off.

Huge potential There are 3 things that went against the app. 1) It uses a 3rd app (Dropbox) for the app to work. I don't have any issue with that because i already have dropbox but what about other people who doesn't want dropbox 2) The sync between my tablet and the phone is inconsistent even though i set my tablet sync time to 15sec. There are times when the sync occurs almost immediately and there are times you wait and wait it doesn't get updated at all on my tablet. I am using Asus Transformer btw 3) Battery drain. I am not sure about others but i do notice a considerable drain on my phone as well as on my tablet. Other than that, i think it is a very good app and if it is able to resolve the above 3 'issues' for me, it would have been a fantastic app.

Latest update messed up Text messaging. When the latest update was pushed to my Atrix 4G, I started getting the same text message over and over again regardless of who it was from I could send but not receive. It wouldn't sync or open SyncSMS. Took me almost 3 days of uninstalling and troubleshooting before I figured out it was SyncSMS. I uninstalled SyncSMS and then I received a flood of text messages from the past 3 days. Won't be installing again until this problem is fixed after the next update. Overall I do enjoy the software, but this is an egregious error that must be fixed.
