Great idea! Love to see improvements! Suggestions for features... ability to: calibrate to known distance, do single ping, change ping rate, change display (zoom scale, and mapping features) . Advice for users : place hand near mic to block echoes from the wrong direction!

Interesting concept. A bit of a problem running in HTC EVO because mic is on front and sound comes out back.
