PLEASE, READ CAREFULLY!!!

Droideley is an unofficial Mendeley (http://www.mendeley.com) Android client. It is capable of synchronizing with your Mendeley library and of downloading the stored documents. It also provides a filtering options (folder, author, tag) and it can be used for searching in the global Mendeley database or for browsing Mendeley Groups.

BETA ONLY!!!
Please, be aware that this development release can still contain bugs but let me assure you, that it CAN NOT harm your Mendeley data.

I would like to assure you that the development is in progress and any suggestions or bug reports from you side will be highly appreciated.

- Synchronizing your whole Mendeley library with your android device
- Ability to download files attached to the documents
- Browse the library through folders
- Filter documents by author or tag
- Quick keyword search in the presented lists (document titles, authors, tags etc.)
- Share documents through all the sharing options provided by your device
- Browse groups and their documents
- Download files associated with documents within groups
- Search the global Mendeley Web database for new papers (voice search option included)

DEVELOPER'S NOTE: Currently, you can experience some problems with the Mendeley authentication phase during the first start of the app. The problem is probably on the side of the Mendeley authentication provider. I was assured that the Mendeley team knows about this issue and that they are looking into it. For the latest news, follow @Droideley on twitter.

Finally, if droideley is not working for you or you would like to try something else, I recommend Scholarley (another Mendeley Android client).

Good It's not fully fledged Mendeley Desktop, but it is enough to browse and read papers on the go. Simple and easy to use.

Particularly great on eInk devices I've only just started using this (on a rooted Nook Simple Touch), but it's been great so far. The interface is a bit simplistic perhaps, but that's perfect for an eInk display, and doesn't hurt LCD users either. Of course being able to add notes/tags/whatever would be nice, but the ability to pull PDFs to reference quickly on-the-go is the main feature, and this app delivers.

Does not sync properly anymore This is more or less the same review I left for the other Mendeley android client (Scholarley), because both are having similar issues. The first few times I used this, it worked great. However, it hasn't synced properly in months. It just says syncing and never actually syncs (I've left it going for hours before). I've tried everything, removing my cache, re-installing the app... to no avail. So, I'm not sure if it's an issue with my phone (HTC Desire HD) or some communication issue vis a vis the Mendeley API. Either way, I've given up on trying to get Mendeley on my smartphone for now. Too bad, really.

needs improvements Doesn't allow saving of pdf files on sd card (for galaxy ace II). If you saved a file on the phone - I couldn't manage to find the file to delete it. It gives to files an endless useless names, made of numbers and random letters. Would be nice to have an option to move it on sd card, and to select folder for file saving.

I hope for improvement I give this two stars for merely existing. I love Mendeley for PC/Laptop. I am in a PhD program and Mendeley is my lifeline. As expected, the android Beta version is greatly trimmed down. It looks like the apple version is more like what we need for Android. My suggestions, or pleading, are the following: 1. Create a user interface similar to the PC or Apple version 2. Allow us to reference the PDF's contained on our android devices, same as PC 3. Allow us to sync our tablets and PCs with your cloud so that all are in harmony 4. Allow for notations and highlighting on tablets that syncs with other devices In other words, make the android version more like the PC version. I will always be a fan. Cheers

Great Mendeley beta app! There is room for improvement, but works excellent as a beta app. After installation, I had problems login in. However, after restarting my Tablet and waiting for a couple hours it worked. Clearly it is an issue with the Mendeley API, which will resolved in a near future.

Basically... Mendeley on your android Superb. Infinitely better than Scholarley. Download, sort, view your refs. 5 stars, ICS. Tab 2.
