When you launch it, you'll see a spinning globe showing day and night regions.

'space' key toggles the clock,
zoom in(2), zoom out(8),left(3), down(4), right(5), up(6)
center(7):toggles between the round and flat views

It works... It's just not very intuitive. Needs better navigation options, as others have said.
