This widget fixes problems with the 3.5mm headphone jack HTC multi adapters on android release 1.6.  Allows manual or automatic toggle of the headphones connector output.  Also allows manual routing to the headphones output on Android 2.1 and 2.2.  For more details please see the project web page.

After installing, press Menu button at the home screen, then "Add" to add widget

Note that manual routing of the input connection from a wired headset on 1.6 (donut) is not implemented.  Therefore this application won't help you if you have a wired headset attached to your G1 through the HTC adapter and want to use it as an input instead of your mic input.

This application (with source code) is released under the Apache 2.0 license.  For a copy of this license and full source please see the project website.

Perfect Since I dropped my phone it won't recognise the headset. This is a perfect workaround.

doesn't work for me and my Thunderbolt Phone started having perma-display of headset icon and would work in speaker phone mode only. This app did nothing at all. Does not work as advertised.

Great! Lets my Alcatel OT908 connect to my car I was sure something was wrong with my phone - it would work with headphones, but not a 3.5mm jack to the aux of my car stereo. This little app did the trick - at the press of a button, I'm a happy music listener.
