World of Warcraft Status

This widget allows monitoring of 1 or more World of Warcraft servers.  The list of servers along with server status is populated directly from Blizzard's website.  Both EU and US servers can be monitored.

The widget includes both a horizontal and vertical layout for a seamless look regardless of device rotation.  The widget is 2x2 in size and features custom graphics to represent the state of a server:
Red - Server is down
Green - Server is up
Grey - Updates are disabled or an update failed

For alert options, one can select a unique mp3 for each server.  If a server is in a down state and then comes up, the chosen alarm will be played.  This alarm is limited to a 5 second clip of the selected mp3.  Should a phone call come in, the alarm will be silenced and/or prevented from sounding.

Every time the status of a server is updated, the device is woken up.  For this reason, the update service allows the user to specify how often to perform updates.  This allows you to tailor your update frequency based on your needs.

Tapping on an orb will disable/enable updates for all WoW status widgets.  Once tapped, all orbs will turn grey to indicate that updates are disabled.  In this state, no server updates are performed.  Tapping the orb again will enable server updates for all widgets.  In addition to providing a simple way to enable/disable updates, this also a quick way to force an update of the servers rather than waiting for the next scheduled update.
