Using the C25K plan from Couch to 5K? This app times your workout while you listen to your own music or podcasts. It plays an audio signal when you need to switch your pace.

This is a fully functioning 9-week plan. There's no upsale after 2 weeks like in the competitor's free version. The only drawback is that it needs to be in the foreground to run. For background mode (and a lot of other cool features), you're invited to upgrade to Pro.

Get it! Everything you need, nothing you don't need. No frills timer that isn't a memory hog but will kick your butt off the couch. As others have noted, if phones falls asleep, program restarts. Simply set phone to sleep after 30 min and you're good to run. Get it! Run this! I'm fat and I'm going to run a 5k one day thanks to this program.

I am uninstalling it, so I can reinstall it to use again. There should be a reset. Also, when I try to play my music, it stops. Otherwise great!

Useless free version It's a timer, that has to stay in the foreground. For me, that meant I couldn't let the screen turn off, or the timer stopped. You couldn't change the music, or do anything else. When I come back, it didn't take me to the timer screen, but to a day-select screen (hello, I'm on day 1?) I'd rather have something i can actually USE for two weeks than something that screws up my first try at this new exercise program. Clear the dev has never once used this version. How discouraging.

Great program! This is a great program that has literally got me from couch to 5k! Just a shame you can't track your pace and actual distance.
