True to the spirit of UNIX/Linux, this is a minimalistic app that does one, and one thing only - It forces a rescan of the media files on your SD card. How cool is that? Well, if you like me like to create and add ringtones/alarms/notification sounds and put them on your SD card, I bet you're as frustrated as I am with having to reboot for the new sounds to show up when you set a notification sound from an application.
No more - just run ScanMedia, and the sound you just added to the alarms/ringtones/notifications folder of the SD card is available to all apps

Works perfectly! Makes ya wonder why a feature like this isn't built in by default. Saves on reboots, that's for sure.

Small footprint, does what it says Works every time. Would love a widget, or "auto-scan on run" for even quicker, one-click scanning.
