This is a pre-release version of our social news reader app. It is designed to help you discover, share, and enjoy content from Facebook and Twitter. What's more, you're not confined to just reading content! That's right. You may also listen to news items as your phone speaks them aloud using Text-to-Speech (TTS) technology.

Tune into iHear Network:
• During your commute to work
• While exercising or going for a walk, run, or jog
• As you do chores
• Before going to bed

Or, whenever you want to be informed!

You can quit the app by pressing your phone's menu button and selecting "Quit".

Android usually comes with several pre-installed voices. You can see these voices from within the app by selecting "Settings" from the menu and pressing on the voice chooser. Additionally, over 35 premium voices made by SVOX are available for purchase. Simply press the "Add a Voice!" button in the "Settings" dialog for more information. In the unlikely event that your phone or tablet has no voices installed, you can download the following installer:

NOTE: If you have an older version of iHear Network, please be aware that you won't be able to listen to geo-located tweets once you upgrade. We plan on reintroducing location-based features into the app at a later date.

Interesting concept and Easy to use I like the concept and the interface of the application. It makes life easier to some extent as you don't need to read everything and can just listen to it. There are a lot of channels available. I liked the concept of adding facebook and twitter feature. However, at times the mechanical sound seems too boring, although it gives a feeling of computer games which I like at times.

Has some potential for greatness App worked well and did not freeze up on my phone like a lot of other apps tend to do. However, I lost interest fast because it just seemed like another twitter app. I was hoping to be able to select certain topics of interest. (entertainment, sports, conversations, etc.) But most were random tweets having nothing to do with anything of importance to me. Could be an awesome app with a little more innovation and development!!

iHear This ap worked a lot better than I expected it to. I think it would be really useful to check twitter reviews and feedback for a place. Close to my neighborhood are several resturants and I listened to some of the comments by people that had checked into those establishments. I wonder if it would work well at a concert venue to get real time tweets from people attending the same show and maybe making virtual and reality followers unite! Seems pretty interesting!

Although the concept for this app is interesting, I don't really see what the practicality of it is. Also, the computerized voice is super creepy!

Cool App, but lost interest fast This app seems to take peoples tweets from any geographic location and and plays them as audio. App works well, I just have no interest in random peoples tweets. I guess it would be nice to be able to find out if anything interesting is going on around town, but the person would have to be tweeting it at exactly the right time.

This app is so much fun, definatly helps kill time. I love the text to speech, leaves me free to do other things while I listen.

Awesome idea, but why can't I turn off the text-to-speech and just read the tweets? Fail hard.
