3) Go to Android Settings -> Voice Input & Output -> Text-to-Speech settings, activate IVONA Text-to-Speech HQ at the bottom of the screen, then select IVONA Text-to-Speech HQ as the Default Engine.

Excellent! Sounds really good and natural. Will be nice if there are male voices available for added variations as well.

Sounds good but... Takes too long to speak the text shown. Rooted epic 4g running gingerbread.

. Very clear but lags waaaay too much sometimes over 10 second which is an eternity for TTS.

Good app. But i downloaded Amy which worked fine. Then i downloaded kendra but now it wont let me switch back to amy. Ive tried everything. If i click on amy it wont switch to amys voice.

Works fine except for Welsh You seem to think that every time LL is used you have to pronuonce it like Llay or Llanfairpwlllgwyn.. not so. the word hello is just "hello". otherwise, what a great app.

Simply wonderful This is a remarkable app. Where once my phone sounded like Prof. Stephen Hawkins, on horse tranquillisers, it now has the voice of a sexy Welsh girl! That's right you have the choice of three female English voices - American English, British English (which is English English) and Welsh English. BTW - there is Welsh language support too.
