Prox Lite

Your phone must have a proximity sensor for this app to work. Phones that have a dual purpose ambient light sensor for proximity usage might have unintended bugs. Please do not leave a bad review if this does not work properly for you. The model of phone and software loaded all come into play on how well this will work. Also, most tablets don't have a proximity sensor, so don't be surprised if it doesn't work.

The reason I am providing a free version is to make sure that Prox Pro will work on your device. All phones have different proximity sensors and some just work better than others. The version of Android you are running also has an effect on the performance of this app. If you are running any leaked builds or custom ROMs, there may be bugs in the build so the free version is here to make sure Pro will work before buying :)

Prox Lite is a gesture based service that allows you to complete actions without even touching your phone. It uses the accelerometer and proximity sensor to launch these actions. Just tilt your phone in the desired direction and then pass your hand over the proximity sensor. You can get that real Jedi feeling and impress your friends when you launch the browser without touching the phone.

Prox doesn't do anything during phone calls, allowing for normal proximity sensor functionality. You won't be doing any face gesturing so don't worry :)

Prox Lite is the free version of Prox. With Prox Lite, you can complete four actions: Emulate home button, expand and contract the notification panel, launch your phone dialer, and launch your browser. Since it's a service, it will work in any application on your phone. You could be browsing the web or sending a text message and if you perform one of these actions, then Prox Lite will work.

This application is merely a demo for Prox Pro...

Prox Pro removes the ads and gives you full control over what Prox does. If Prox Pro doesn't show up for you in the market, it's probably because it requires Android 2.2 :/

Prox Pro allows you to launch your own applications, change settings on your phone, and even display some custom text. Prox Pro will be updated regularly with many new additions.

The full version of Prox has 5 different gestures instead of two, and if you take into account the loadouts, you could have a lot of gestures. In the current version of Prox Pro you can have 10 custom gestures. There is also a Timer loadout that can be used that doesn't require you to tilt the phone,. It is activated by holding your hand over the proximity sensor to activate an action based on how long it is covered.

Prox Pro also allows users to customize loadouts. Loadouts take 5 different actions and package them into a single loadout. The user can change the loadout at any time by performing the "away" gesture.
