MailDroid is an ad-supported Webdav/POP3/IMAP Idle Push mail client written from the ground up and and not based on the stock Android mail client.

This is the Pro version of MailDroid and contains no ads. The pro version will contain some extra features that are not available in the ad version. Support for the pro version is the same as for the ad version (email only and no phone).

ACTIVESYNC AND CALENDAR IS NOT SUPPORTED YET!

*INSTRUCTIONS FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE USING THE AD VERSION*
1. Export your settings to your SD card (you must have version 1.70+ which has this feature) from the global preferences screen. NOTE: Only settings will be exported and not old POP3 mail (a tool for that is coming in 2013)
2. Uninstall MailDroid Ad version (you don't need it anymore and can uninstall it at any point)
3. Install MailDroid Pro
4. On the accounts screen, import your settings

IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE WITH YOUR LICENSE, PLEASE EMAIL ME AND INCLUDE YOUR GOOGLE ORDER NUMBER.

*NOTES*
1. MailDroid Pro does not require the extra permissions required for ads
2. MailDroid Pro does not require the extra ad required files and is therefore a smaller file
3. MailDroid Pro uses less memory and cpu because no ads are shown
4. MailDroid Pro uses less bandwidth and data because no ads are shown

*ADDITIONAL FEATURES IN PRO*
1. Up/Down arrow in email to move to next or previous emails
2. Ability to set where to go after deleting an email (next/previous or back to inbox)
3. Two Widgets
4. Switch between 3 icons when adding the counter widget

Need OpenPGP Support Absolutely love this App and the pro version is worth the $$$. I have never had one problem with it on my Moto Droid 1 and Moto Bionic in over 2 years of use. Easy to use and user friendly. Recommend this App to anyone looking for a SOLID email Android client. I would really love to see the OpenPGP interface rushed to the top of the ToDo lists. That would be the only lacking part as far as I can tell. Need to have encryption capability on the go! I give this app by far 5 stars! Great Job!

Good email client. But getting slower. Emails won't preload content and take forever to display. Emails don't send every time, they'll usually end up in the outbox forever. After pressing reply all, it takes forever to load...basically, it's really slow all of a sudden. It used to be really snappy. Please at least fix the preload content feature. It's maddening.

This is the best email app Steep price but worth it as it is one of the best looking email apps apart from the gmail app. Some emails do take unusually long to open when compared to the native email app but it gets the job done most of the time

Much less than I've expected for that money. Needed an app for Sony Acro S to replace the original email. In case the original one on XPERIA platform is delivered with no widget. So I have purchased this one, thought it's expensive and would fully cover the default email app functionality. I was disappointed, this app doesn't have a 'Combined view' as the original Android email. The widget is only 4x2 and displays just a single message at a time. Possible to browse left-right, but there's still nothing better than the default 4.0 Android email app+widget.

Does the job, can be better POSITIVES: 1. IMAP Push works properly with power/battery management programs. Previously tried K9, etc. those mail apps didn't work well & caused wakelocks/battery drain when throttling data connection on/off which most battery apps do. 2. This is they key reason I selected Maildroid. Paid the $$ to support developer...the widgets alone are NOT worth the money. 3. Mail deletion works on IMAP ! I found K9 didn't always delete a mail on server, Maildroid usually does. NEGATIVES: 1. Fiddley - lots of individual settings per account. 2. Widgets are not "modern" - widget shows white background emails on black JB/ICS themes & uses old style red bullet instead of holo theme. 3. When using dark theme, emails open up to white background, very unsightly. Edit: Why did my review get shortened?
