Researchers from the University of Ulm, Germany, found that according to the Client Login license agreement with the previous version of Android 2.3.3, when the device logs in to Google services, the device is issued a login authentication token (authtoken) for communication.

In Google calendar, Google contact list, Google Picasa, and other Google services, Google authentication token (authtoken) is transmitted through an http protocol which hackers can simply intercept in public wifi systems. After intercepted, Google account information on the device can be leaked. This includes accounts from Google calendar, Google Contacts, Google Picasa and other Google services, along with accounts on applications such as Twitter and Facebook.
