Read the first pop-up! The icon isn't what you think it is. You'd be surprised that icons aren't always displayling the truth... Tiger blood required.

Was hoping latest update would fix always-on GPS issue, but still happens for me if I don't manually turn off bg notifications each time I exit.

Possible "GPS On Constantly" Workaround The "GPS ON CONSTANTLY" complaint, is of course true. I may have found a work-around: Apparently, this current version of Whrrl (.0311) doesnt remember its Bacground Notification setting of "None" or "Off", so I simply went in and checked it again, I noticed immediately that the GPS icon went blank, and checking indeed GPS is now "back to normal". But, turning the Phone (Droid 1) off then back on, sure enough the GPS was back on SOLID until I again went for the workaround. Don't know about other devices.

Used to love this app until the whrrl bot update... BUGS EVERYWHERE! GPS will not shut off even when app is closed... restore old whrrl PLEASE!

Yeah thats what i want! A robot to give me an excuse to hang with my friends! This was marginally cooler before.

It never connects to Facebook! It shows me that I'm logged in at Whrrl even after I log out!!!

I used this in 2009 on my iPhone and it was fun; much better than foursquare imo. Glad I found this for my EVO
