SplashShopper List Organizer

Changing to rshopping list Splash shopper the best list organizer from palm and I have been waiting for a long time but it is a crap for android. I am changing to rshopping list and it is free. Bye bye splash shopper.

Some quirks, but works well I've used SplashShopper for years on a Palm Treo, and liked it. It took some work getting my customized list from the Treo to my new Android, but a very helpful tech support rep walked me through it (including getting drivers to sync the Treo with my Win7 64-bit computer). Sync could be better documented. It requires WiFi connection, and syncs to desktop, not cloud; but do I really want my shopping preferences stored on somebody's hackable server somewhere? Comes with decent documentation on the handheld, and a pretty comprehensive default grocery list, easily customized. I only use it for groceries, but the variety of other lists included (including a travel checklist) makes it flexible. I did have it freeze up on start, but closing another open app seemed to fix it. Major negative: paying $5 for the app, then $10 for the desktop program to sync to.

There are a few issues with this app 1. On start-up, the 'splash' screen remains for 4 secs. Serves no purpose other than corporate vanity. Needs an option to suppress 2. The currency is fixed to $. The app should either remove the $ sign or support user defined currency prefix. 3. With a long list, when you change or open a record, when you file it, you are returned to the top of the list, not where you were! 4. Items selected as NEEDED remain in ALL ITEMS. Not helpful for a tick off list. Needs some refining.

Don't Bother. Your Memo app is more practical! Irritant #1: Splash Screen stays on for way too long before resuming to main list Irritant #2: Perpetually checking for License Irritant #3: (Biggest issue) to this day, and I have written in to them a few times- NO CLOUD sync. Which means, every time you create a list, you have to sync to desktop. How arcane is this. Uninstalled Desktop and Android App. What a mistake!

Michael When I owned a Palm Treo and Pixi phone, I purchased this app and loved it. Since I have moved over to an Android, I can't get the app to sync.

Freezes and won't start Displays only the pink start-up page, then freezes up. Useless. Uninstalled.

Finally. Loved SplashShopper on BB. Many good features, but IS a bit buggy. No issues for me with sync, but do get FC sometimes. Hope to see some updates.(G2X)

Freezes I loved this on my palm then again on my windows phone, but seems to freeze upon opening on my DROIDX!

Still beta-ish Features live up to the original Palm version; far faster than the iPhone's. Has promise to be 5 stars but sync and desktop are buggy. (Edit: was 4*)
