Ward Central Free

Ward Central is a tool for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is a mobile ward directory downloading from lds.org

This is now the same app as Ward Central Premium. Because there is a large install base for both apps, I am leaving both on the market.

Custom groups to keep track of those you contact frequently.

I would like to thank the many who have supported Stake Central and Ward Central in 2010. I decided to write this app shortly after receiving my first Android phone for Christmas in 2009. The experience has far exceeded my expectations.  I am truly grateful for your kind words, encouragement and suggestions.

You are likely aware that the church has recently published LDS Tools with much of the same functionality as Stake Central. I encourage you to download LDS Tools.  The church has plans to continue to add features like calendar events and groups. They are also planning to add photos and eventually will turn LDS Tools into an application that will allow leaders to view additional information as their callings may allow.

I understand that the church will at some point in the future, close their member services web interface to non-church applications. I do not expect that to happen immediately; but when it does occur, Stake Central and Ward Central will be unable to download information from the new website (the option to use the old, classic lds.org site should continue to work). For this reason, version 2.10 and future versions of the apps are free.  However…

Recent changes:
This version will, by default, download data from the new LDS.org website. If you wish to continue to use the old classic website, there are options in the application settings to allow you to continue to use the app as before. (Press menu, settings and unselect the "Use New LDS.org" options.

This version will remove all membership data. You will need to download your ward information again after installing it.
