NoBars saves your battery when you don't have cell service by enabling airplane mode for you. This turns off the cell radio and prevents it from draining the battery while searching for a signal. NoBars can automatically check for service after a period of time and disable airplane mode.

NoBars is free and ad supported.

Great battery saver. If I may recommend- an option to only go into airplane mode after the screen has been off 5 or 10 minutes

Does not always return phone to normal NoBars works great putting the phone in airplane mode. However, it does not always put the phone back in service even though the signal has been reestablished for hours. I have a Sprint Moment (CDMA, 2.1-update).

I would love this app so much if it only switched back to normal when theres signal but it stays airplane....
