Locale Dock Plug-in

NOTE: This will NOT work with a plain old $5 car charger.  A Dock accessory is a special piece of hardware made by your phone manufacturer that is completely different from a car charger.

With Locale and the Dock Plug-in Condition, your device can automatically perform actions based on whether it is docked in the car, desk, or undocked.

Automatically launch an app with the Shortcut Plug-in when docked at home, enable Bluetooth in the car!

This is a plug-in for Locale.  It requires "Locale" from the Android Market, as well as a device that supports a dock accessory such as the Droid, Nexus One, or Xoom.

Locale Dock Plug-in was developed for Android by two forty four a.m. LLC

Package name : com.twofortyfouram.locale.condition.dock

System permissions : This application doesn't need specific permission

Exactly what i was looking for, but should have been built in to the parent app... especially since its the most expensive app i own. Droid.

Did not detect car power source (1 amp) or AC adapter on EVO

unfortunately this does not detect docking on my EVO. i tried rebooting. Even that didn't work. This is second app that was unable to detect dock.

Developer confirmed that this plug in could cause Locale to not load at boot time. Try one of the other dock plug ins. They don't cause this issue.

Does what it says. It detects a change in docking status really quickly. I just wish it was free since Locale itself was expensive.
