Please note: This is still *BETA* software. There may be bugs in its functionality. This app will eventually update to a final 'stable' release. The author is not responsible for any issues caused by using this app.

The 'Display System-Level Alerts' permission is required by Lux to perform sub-zero and astro mode functions.

★KNOWN ISSUES★
→ Turning off 'compatibility mode' in settings may cause side-loading and older versions of GMail to malfunction.
→ Lux may prevent other apps from changing backlight brightness
→ Samsung Galaxy S II falsely attributes an abnormally high battery usage to Lux. This has yet to be reproduced on other devices.

★DESCRIPTION★
Lux isn't your ordinary brightness widget. It can automatically apply a backlight level based on user defined backlight levels, and the current ambient brightness reading.

If you've stepped outside into a bright glaring sun, chances are that you'll struggle to see traditional brightness widgets to correct the backlight. Lux gives you the option to automatically adjust the backlight at fixed intervals, or when the display is first activated.

It's also possible to adjust the backlight manually. You can click the arrow below the sun icon and then adjust the slider to the level you desire. If you're into the automatic features, you can adjust the slider to a comfortable setting, read in a light sample (that's the brightness of your surroundings), and then link the sample to the slider value. Now Lux knows what backlight settings you prefer for that particular environment! Of course, you don't want to be linking samples all the time, so Lux uses interpolation algorithms to estimate the brightness you want for any given environment, based on your past linked samples.

Please report any bugs, with steps to reproduce them. Thank you.

A must have app Auto brightness on the GS II phones is a joke, so this app is essential. There seem to be a few bugs but in general works great, worth the price.
