Generally poor. No variable speed, much too fast, bad interface

No adjustable speed. Voice read the text much too quickly to enjoy, no way to slow it down. Awkward integration of voice reading into the interface.

If you like hearing the phrase "soft hyphen" two and three times per word, then get this reader. What garbage.

With both the speech package and cupcake the wordplayer reader worx with svox still messes up years tho so 4/5

Doesn't start where you are reading. Can't go forward or back. Can't pause. Just Reads the whole chapter from the start. Useless.

Needs more work

I use the free SVOX TTS engine on HTC Desire along with a purchased SVOX voice. It's a shame WordPlayer can't make use of this to improve its reading.

No pause/ resume. Doesn't keep my place, starts at beginning of chapter. Talks during phone calls
