S3Anywhere is an Amazon S3 file manager for Android devices. It allows managing several S3 buckets from Amazon cloud storage service. It comes with both handset and S3 file managers. It provides download, upload and folder synchronization features. Resume support for download is available. It provides S3 server-side encryption and reduced redundancy support. File managers allow renaming, deleting, and copying files. You can view permissions (ACL) on each file. S3Anywhere will also work with any storage service compliant with S3 REST API (such as HostEurope). You're ready to access Amazon cloud from Android. Features in Pro version only are: Support for Europe, Asia and US West bucket location, Folder synchronization (mirror remote/local, scheduling and widget).

Encryption? Now that S3 does data at rest encryption, this app should have this feature.

No support outside US looks like it has potential to be handy but I can't even test it as based in the UK

Last Support in their forum was May 19! I create a new bucket that follows DNS standards in US Standard region to make sure it is compatible. After retyping my keys for hours to make sure they were correct, it still would not connect. Go to their support forum, the last entry for this app is 4 months old! Looked up the error message and find that lots of developers for S3 get the same problem. So while it may not be the fault of Lyesoft, I'm not impressed with the stagnant state of their support forum for this product. Do not waste your time.

"sdcard folder cannot be used for synchronisation" - why not? I want to back up my whole phone to s3 bucket, surely that's reasonable?

Works great in all regions. Just requires to create your bucket on US standard server.
