Provide a speedometer and compass widget which can be used in Car Dock Home v3, or any other widget supporting app, while in car mode.

Uses the gps for speed and bearing. It does not use compass sensor in device, so you will have to be moving to see any change in direction.

Tap the widget to bring up prefs screen... Options are:
  MPH or KM/H display
  Font for speedometer reading
  Color of speedo and compass
  Background color of the widget
  Transparency control of that background.

You might not see speed unit change until the next update from the GPS. If the gps is not sending updates, "NO GPS" will be displayed. Updates are requested from your phone at maximum update frequency.  When not in car mode, it will also show "NO GPS" as it does not receive gps updates outside of car mode.

Worthy of a donation. This dev's apps are well done. Love the way user opinions are actually taken seriously. I've since froze the default car dock in favor of this dev's.

THANK YOU! Developer listened to users mentioning difficulty reading speed display in sunlight and fixed it. Speed color option works only when docked & GPS on.

Always sits on zero for me. I'm also not a fan of old fashioned/retro (harder-to-read) fonts.

Been waiting for this I've been waiting so long for this. Using car home dock for months, but it doesn't include a speedo- otherwise great app. Now with this- perfect.

Runs constantly - even when Car Home is not active. Uses GPS and kills my battery. Uninstalling until it is fixed.
