This app DISABLES the launching of the Multimedia Station / Alarm Clock Screen when your phone is placed in the desktop dock.

Install it. Place phone in dock. Check the "use by default" box. Press "DockControl Launcher".

lets me turn off the screen at night so I can actually get sleep, since this is my alarm clock.

Somewhat overrides multimedia dock. Still goes landscape and displays notification icon. Doesn't affect car dock at all. Moto Droid with stock 2.1.

This doesn't actually prevent the dock from running; just displaying. It still flips to landscape mode and puts the dock icon in the notification bar.

@people giving low rating + feature request: NO. This app does one thing, period. There are other apps for these purposes, search the market.
