Inspired by the great Adblock Plus addon for Firefox and Chrome, Android Adblock is an ad-blocking HTTP proxy for your Android device that blocks unwanted ads from websites in your mobile browser.

*NO* root required!

Setup instruction: Set APN's proxy preferences to localhost with the port set in main application.

Please note that Android Adblock doesn't block ads in apps. Also, it is a BETA version, please report bugs at android-adblock.com.

This is an open-source community-project, contributors are welcome!

I like the concept and it works for me. Subscription lists needs to be in the app so it makes it so much easier to add them.

Works almost perfect on sprint nexus s Its on par with adblock for chrome - some adds still manage to squeak by. Other than that, works as advertised.

This does NOT work with VZW & Sprint phones, per developer response to my bug report. Should state so or be flagged as incompatible.

Works great with Opera Mobile 11.1 Just setup the proxy settings in the Opera advanced settings menu about:config and you're set... works very well.
