Hero Lock Wallpaper change

It's a novel idea but just doesn't work for me. I have a rooted G1 and named the image 'wallpaper' on the SD card root folder. It was .JPG.

Bluetooth Fileshare - Bluex

App tells me I don't have root access which I do. Emailed devloper but no reply. Not impressed!
