RocketDial Trial (SmartDialer)

Top app! Huge improvement on the stock contacts app, and a great gui. The contact search by writing the letter on-screen is great. Quick response from the developer in reply to queries about the app. I'll definitely be buying the Pro version key. 5*

Quick Settings

Solid and very handy app I've been using Quick Settings for ages, and find it very handy for changing settings quickly. Personally I tend to use the ringer profiles (to silence my phone) and flashlight the most. Having a tiny button for the flashlight is rather fiddly, and the app uses the screen as the flashlight (making it entirely bright white) rather than making use of the camera's flash light. As a consequence it's not so bright, but it's perfectly adequate for most situations.

Time Calculator Pro

Top of the crop My advice is to ignore the negative comments about the literature version, and jump in and pay the small and very reasonable amount for this pro version. Intuitive layout and all the functions you need to be able to perform time calculations. I use it primarily for work to calculate the totals for my flexitime sheet, but it's useful in any situation where you need to perform a calculation of time.

ConvertPad Plus

Great app! Just about every unit you could ever wish for, or wish to convert, and ridiculously easy to use! Just about perfect in every way. THE app to get if you're looking for a solid conversion app. Free version with ads also available, but worth paying for life without ads.

Excellent! So much better than the hard copy version because it never gets out of date with the monthly updates, and doesn't get dog-eared in your bag!

Shake 'n' Not Stirred Alarm

Shake 2 stop snooze doesn't work! (& if alarm goes off while playing game etc, only way to stop it's to turn phone off). Not impressed! (HTC Wildfire)

Collins English + Thesaurus TR

Full version is expensive, but it *IS* the full and unabridged books all on your phone, so pretty good value! The best dictionary for Android!

It's okay, but "My Days" is more customisable and with a legend on the calendar screen its easier to make sense of the calendar at a glance, and free.
