Magnifying Glass

Good idea, limited implementation Obviously, this isn't a microscope and a lot depends on the physical camera, but on my phone the magnification is small, and the image quality is very poor, especially in darker places.

Simple Kitchen Timer

Excellent! The only problem I have is the app cannot be switched off without unlocking the screen first - or, if it can, this isn't on by default, and isn't obvious how to configure. Overall, this is the best kitchen timer app I've tried. No misuse of permissions -- unlike many other apps, uses only the smallest set of security permissions it needs.

Works fine, but the UI is a mess. Cannot get it to upload to google docs - correct account name and password bring up login errors. Since the app is already using personal information, why not just re-use the phone account settings?
