App Shield

Works on LG Optimus V "Permissions Denied" had problems even on my rooted phone, but the solution App Shield uses (reconfigure original .apk and reinstall with new permissions) works beautifully.

Not free Requires you to buy a license on their website. And requires a network connection to do tasks that shouldn't need one.

Eats battery Interesting application, but even after killing the process, it keeps restarting and sucking all my battery.

Boot RANDimations

Needs update Constant force closes on rooted LG Optimus V with BusyBox 1.19. To add insult to injury, it never did work to replace the default boot animation in the first place.
