3G Watchdog Pro

Good, but a bit of a memory hog... Double digit memory use seems a little steep. Not an issue on newer phones probably, but it is in my SGS.

by wasoota the 2/27/2012
Star Chart

License check on every lauch means Internet access required. If you don't have solid and fast access to the Internet (3g or wlan), validation will fail and the app will refuse to run. In other words, it's perfect for stargazing in the city and sure helps you imagine all those constellations you can't see from there, but it's utterly and tragically unsuited for many of those places you might actually want to use it, like out camping. Google SkyMap saved the day (or night, rather).

by wasoota the 12/14/2011
Wave Launcher

It's one of the best, trouble is, all these launchers get in the way of your typing, surfing, gaming, etc. No screen segment is simply never used.

Blue Skies Live Wallpaper

Beautiful. The best sky lwp by a huge margin. I wish it did weather. Low battery consumption as well. After many disappointments, so impressed.

Checkmark ToDo List Pro

Not getting better. It's just so, so cumbersome. Desktop Client? This isn't 1998. But they've obviously given up on streamlining the app. I have too.

iReal b

Great app. Needs visual improvement on tablet though. Right now it just scales the phone GUI, making charts comparatively ugly.

by wasoota the 11/26/2011
Mini Synthesizer

It's great. Latency is an OS problem and can't be helped. Write the Android team for better audio capabilities. It's still not done in ICS.

by wasoota the 11/16/2011
Vignette

Ridiculously slow on SGS. Several seconds to launch, several to save a pic and then several seconds again to re-initialize camera. Almost unusable.

by wasoota the 11/6/2011
FolderSync

Simple and functional Needs a bit of perfecting the UI, but other than that I was up and syncing in minutes.

by wasoota the 10/29/2011
Tap Log

Great for tracking just about anything. If I could toggle/automate GPS logging I could dump my sports tracker for this.

by wasoota the 10/22/2011
Task:Life Performance Tracker

Only logs success/fail per day, not 'performance'. Only works with stuff you try to do every day but where it doesn't matter how much you do, only if you do it or not. Hence very limited.

KeyChord - Piano Chords/Scales

Great staff view. The app is not as slick as Chord! for guitar, but staff view makes up for that. And we'll, it's for piano.

by wasoota the 9/5/2011
Interval Recognition

Small but covers it. Others charge money for far less. Great app! @David: app2sd for an 80kb app? You must be joking.

by wasoota the 9/4/2011
Pure Breeze Launcher Lite

Bit like an iPhone... The whole point of widgets seems to be to have *them* always there and call up the app drawer when you need it, not the other way around.

by wasoota the 8/7/2011
iPSC Sniper

Needs work. Doesn't work right yet. No way to turn sound off, steering is very erratic and touchy. Could be fun eventually though.

by wasoota the 8/5/2011
conwave

What's the point? I guess Apple guys like their internet Cupertino-screened and packed in apps, I prefer to surf it. Pun intended.

by wasoota the 7/30/2011
ADW Theme Glow Legacy Pro

Nice but not nearly enough icons With an extreme theme like this, the odd unreplaced (ie. full color) icon looks very out of place...

by wasoota the 7/28/2011
Gnaural for Android

So awesome. Well done! Sad that people would rather pay $3 for a 'meditation app' that only offers a fraction of this one.

by wasoota the 7/26/2011
OSCdroid

Very, very promising! Please continue development!

by wasoota the 7/24/2011
Galataxi

One of the best. Use the easy setting if like me you have low frustration tolerance. ;-)

by wasoota the 7/8/2011
Awesome Media Player

Needs better catalog navigation. It's ok once it's playing, only supports two headset button functions though (long & short press) instead of 3 or 4.

by wasoota the 6/13/2011
Plasma Sound

A lot like ethereal dialpad. Nicely done.

by wasoota the 6/9/2011
Galcon

Often imitated, never surpassed. The classic.

by wasoota the 6/4/2011
Nike BOOM

Cheesy canned pep-talk in a loop. Adidas miCoach wipes the grimy locker room floor with this and then some. Totally embarrassing & utterly worthless.

by wasoota the 5/16/2011
W10 Keyboard

Most promising and intuitive of all alternative input methods l've seen. As with all of them, unsure it's actually faster.

by wasoota the 5/15/2011
The Game of Life

Works fine. Nicely customizable.

by wasoota the 5/5/2011
Chalk Ball

I like. Maximizes a simple concept.

by wasoota the 5/1/2011
WAG ERG

Might be useful if it had a way to export the beats. As it is, it's sadly little more than a funny experiment.

by wasoota the 5/1/2011
Maestro

Wow, a quick notepad for music. Tablet users may want more features but on a phone this is about all you can handle.

by wasoota the 4/14/2011
Musical Bubbles

This is what it's all about.

by wasoota the 3/29/2011
Curvy

Small, pretty, fun and endless variety. A perfect mobile game.

by wasoota the 3/28/2011
Advanced Clock Widget Pro

Nice, but not nearly enough layout options.

by wasoota the 3/21/2011
Sythe Synthesizer Free

Shows lots of promise.

by wasoota the 3/8/2011
Flamencoroid Free

Doesn't work. Just an annoying buzzy beep. Expected an update within days, but nothing. Cheeky to offer a pro version.

by wasoota the 2/19/2011
Fractoid

Fantastic. Gorgeous.

by wasoota the 2/18/2011
Hertz, the WAV recorder

Simple and effective. Defaults and a widget would be nice, but this still comes in ahead thanks to its simplicity.

by wasoota the 2/13/2011
mClock donate

The best. Sleek, minimalist (but clear) and customizable. The screenies here are terrible examples. This really is the one.

by wasoota the 2/7/2011
mClock

Simple and sleek widget. Needs a way to customize loaded templates though (as mentioned by others). Still, 5* for the results.

by wasoota the 2/6/2011
WildSpectra Mobile Pro

A unique twist on a recorder, but not very accessible. Has potential to go beyond that if more functionality is added. Thanks for the update!

by wasoota the 1/26/2011
BubbleBeats

Nice idea, but it takes ages to set up bubbles and songs. Why no 'autofill'? It would be easier to remove what you don't want.

by wasoota the 1/19/2011
Project Schedule Free

Very nice. Very nice Gantt chart display, basic planning elements only, but on a phone that's all that's really useful and realistic.

by wasoota the 1/16/2011
Jasuto modular synthesizer

By far the deepest piece of music software for android. Please iron out the bugs! It's still too unstable for productive work... (Galaxy S)

by wasoota the 12/20/2010
Checkmark Calendar

Date numbers huge so you only see one event per day (!) in month view. no gesture (swiping) support... has potential but a lot to catch up on.

by wasoota the 12/10/2010
PhoneWeaver

Nice app but I already use the vastly more powerful Tasker for scheduling actions, and touchwiz already offers (much faster) silent & aircraft mode.
