Only for Samsung Galaxy S.
This application let's you set the default screen when you use the Home button on the desktop on the default launcher.By default it would take you to the first one on the left, with this you can change it to whatever you like

Does NOT work on Froyo yet!

Not working on SGS 2 rooted, busy box v 1.19.0 installed, granted root access, reboot after change. SGS Screen Changer says it successfully did the change it is supposed to do, but it doesn't.
